Where? Llandudno, North Wales
Transport? Took the train up from Euston to Llandudno (via Llandudno Junction) after work on Friday. Make sure you book your tickets with a bike reservation – they can be quite strict on letting bikes on. Booked onto a 5pm train back down on the Sunday evening.
Accommodation? I stayed at a basic hotel called Elinsore on the Promenade coincidentally right in front of the start line. They were good about letting me take bike to room, and was super useful to be able to pop in and out when setting up for the race. Bearing in mind it was my first triathlon, I did this A LOT!
Food & drink? Check in advance for water and energy stations, bring your own nutrition for transition area perhaps. Llandudno has some nice cafes if you want to eat out during the weekend.
Cost? Cost £65.
