Challenge: Homemade reverse sprint tri
Details: Not only doing the legs in reverse order but also running and swimming backwards...novel idea- thanks to the guy I met in the pub last night!
Cycle: 20km from Hackney Marshes to Hyde Park
Swim: 750m at the Serpentine
Afterthoughts: Who'd have thought that being a bit backwards could be so much fun. The run was amazing - great doing it as part of Parkrun and we came in with a healthy 38minutes. The cycle across London was beautiful (apart from Whitechapel lorry traffic) taking us via the Olympic Park, Canal, Victoria Park, The City, St Pauls, the Strand, Trafalgar Sq and Hyde Park. Then a backstroke session in the Serpentine Lido.
Amazing fun and made even more fun by our last minute recruit - Jamie McDonald who I only met the night before and said yes without really (I think) understanding what on earth I was on about...a reverse sprint trip...so much fun I think eXerK should patent it!
