Challenge: Royal Parks Cycle
Details: A 45km cycle between all eleven Royal Parks in London. It's a fun day of exploring London open to all abilities of cycling. Greenwich Park, Victoria Tower Gardens is next, then onto St James's Park, Green Park, Regent's Park, Grosvenor Square Gardens, Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, Brompton Cemetery, Richmond Park and Bushy Park.
Where? Meet at the entrance to Greenwich Park next to the Greenwich Tavern. Use google maps to navigate. I recommend the quadlock phone mounts to help you.
Transport? Your bike. Cycle to the starting point to get even more km under your belt. You can take a train home from Teddington train station if that suits
When? With stops, photos and a couple of coffee stops, should take around 4 hours.
Bring? A bike is pretty key to the whole thing, helmet, water, snacks, money and bike lights.
Food & drink? You’ll pass by several cafés, both in the parks and along the route. We enjoyed the Adelaide pub next to Teddington Station while we waited for our train back to central London
eXerK 52in52 story: This was a great afternoon activity making the most of our capital’s green spaces. The 11 different parks span London so working east to west we saw London in yet another light. Most parks have cycling rules so careful about going in on your bikes – we dismounted and walked into the parks to check them out before cycling out the other side.
