At the end of August 2016 I set out to hike to La Ciudad Perdida, a 4 day excursion known at the Lost City Trek. London velodrome cycling

Challenge: A velodrome flying lap Details: The VeloPark host taster sessions as well as improver courses. You are kitted out with track bikes, cycle shoes, helmets and gloves. The bikes have no brakes nor gears and your feet are clipped in so can take some getting used to.   Challenge: Copenhagen Half Marathon Details: 21.1km run around the streets of Copenhagen. Why? A mini break to an awesome city, tied in with a bit of alternative exploring. How? Challenge: 1.5km swim in the dark Details: The Autumn Aspire Night Swim is a different event. You are kitted out with glowsticks. There is the option for 750m/ 1.5k/ 5k and it’s your choice to wear a wetsuit or not. Please only swim at night as part of an organised event as, for obvious reasons, it can be quite dangerous. Challenge: Sea kayaking in Devon Details: We booked through Sea Kayak Devon. They bring all the kayak gear and also kayak guides. Where? Dartmouth, Devon Transport? We rented an 8 seater car from Spaceships to get down there. When? You meet at 9.30am on Saturday morning in Dartmouth so best to drive down the night before. All ends at 4pm on Sunday afternoon. There will be a range of abilities in the group so you’ll be sure to have company no matter where you hang out in the wave hierarchy. I’m still learning so surf lessons are on the agenda.
